Today I will be sending out the new issue of the Growing Bookworms weekly email newsletter. (If you would like to subscribe, you can find a sign-up form here.) The Growing Bookworms newsletter contains content from my blog focused on children's books and raising readers. There are currently nearly 400 subscribers.
This week I have four book reviews (three middle grade and one young adult), a Kidlitosphere round-up with links to useful posts from the past week, a Children's Literacy Round-Up, and an installment of my Reviews that Made Me Want the Book feature. I also have an announcement about the easy reader nominations for the Cybils book awards, and a brief announcement from PBS Engage. All of my posts from this week are included in the newsletter.
I've recently finished reading Everything You Want by Barbara Shoup, The Dark Side of Nowhere by Neal Shusterman, and The Sky Inside by Clare Dunkle. I've fallen a bit behind on reviews of my recent reads (due mostly to distraction from the KidLit Conference, the launch of the Cybils, and the baseball playoffs), but I hope to get some catch-up done over the weekend. What have you read lately that you loved?
Thanks for reading the newsletter, and for growing bookworms!
