Growing Bookworms Newsletter: February 2nd

Jpg_book007Tonight I will be sending out the new issue of the Growing Bookworms weekly email newsletter. (If you would like to subscribe, you can find a sign-up form here.) The Growing Bookworms newsletter contains content from my blog focused on children's books and raising readers. There are currently 588 subscribers.

This week I have a post with Kidlitosphere news, an announcement about the January canival of children's literature, a recap of a rally that I attended this week for Free the Children, and a list of the books that I read in January (with links to reviews). I also have a link to this week's children's literacy and reading news round-up (published at The Reading Tub), and an announcement about a new centralized resource for people interested in children's and young adult book blogs. The only post not included in the newsletter this week is one about a new feature that makes it easier for people to share posts from my blog on other social networks (Facebook, etc.).

This week I had guests in town, and I didn't get much reading done. The only book that I finished was Winnie's War by Jenny Moss (which is lovely). I have a business trip coming up, however, which means that I should at least have some reading time on the plane. I have an adult mystery and a couple of advanced reading copies lined up. What have you been reading and enjoying? Thanks for reading the newsletter, and for growing bookworms!
