I'm really looking forward to this book, especially after reading Becky and your reviews.

Jen Robinson

I think that you'll like it a lot, Tricia. Of course it will make you want to hoard canned good, but that's a small price to pay.

EM

OMG WHERE DID YOU GET THE ARC?! My jealousy, it explodes like a chunk of moon hit by an asteroid. I did not read the review as I don't want to be spoiled, but OMG AM SO JELLIS.

Jen Robinson

I was one of the first people to review d&g, EM (and had talked the first book up a huge amount), and so made it onto the list that the author gave to the publisher. I do feel very lucky. The ARCs have only just become available in the past few days, so I'm sure they'll be spreading soon, and presumably available at BEA.

Sheila Ruth

Ooooh, how exciting! I can't wait to read this one. Thanks for such a thorough review.

Jen Robinson

You're very welcome, Sheila. I'm sure you'll enjoy this one.

Kate

I absolutely loved Life As We Knew It and thought The Dead and the Gone was pretty good. I don't know if I can handle this one, though. I just finished reading The Road for my book club, and it was so bleak it almost literally made me crazy. I lost sleep at night. I used to love "end of the world" stuff, but I think The Road cured me of that--at least for a while.

Jen Robinson

Well, Kate, I think it's ok to stay away from this genre for a while. The Road was certainly quite grim. This world is nowhere near as bleak as that. But still, I'm sure you have plenty of books that you can read that won't make you lose sleep at night. And should you change your mind about this one, well, it won't be available until April anyway.

adrienne

It sounds like another winner--I've really been looking forward to this one.

Jen Robinson

I knew you'd want this one, Adrienne. Hope you get to read it soon!
